There are so many cute new little shops over there, and ice cream is the perfect milling-around, going-for-a-stroll food. It s such a great community, and for me, ice cream is so much about community.
The scoop shop is going into the Nolan Mains mixed-use development (3945 Market St.), which features residences above ground-floor retail. It s taking a spot that s adjacent to another food destination, the Lynhall No. 3945, and faces an off-the-street plaza that s tailor-made for outdoor ice cream consumption.

Sweet Science Ice Cream will close its St. Paul location this spring in order to open a new store in Edina.
Sweet Science Ice Cream’s new location at Nolan Mains at 50th and France is slated to open in late May. The store uses “food science and all-natural ingredients” to make its products, including pints, sundaes and novelty items.
“Sweet Science is thrilled to bring local ice cream back to 50th & France!” said owner and founder Ashlee Olds in a statement. “We look forward to creating a delicious atmosphere of community through the best ice cream around, just in time for summer.”
