northeast dc. here s the shot. live from inbound new york avenue. light traffic early on this thursday morning. andrea, over to you. police in the district are searching for the person responsible for a triple shooting in northwest. police arrived in the 2100 block of 8th street near z street around 7 0 last night. they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds and a third victim was found on georgia avenue. they believe the shootings stemmed from a drug deal gone bad. two victims suffered life threatening injuries the third was seriously hurt. a missing 12-year-old girl from the district is recovering after being rerescued from a motel room in laurel. police say the 42-year-old man she was with allegedly used her as a prostitute. the girl had been reported missing from dc on may 25th they say she met derwin samuel smith while working the streets. according to court documents the pair had sex and then smith took her to atlantic city, new jersey where she was sold to for
