A.C.E. of SW Minnesota will be hosting a free one-act play that offers a glimpse into family life with a person with Alzheimer s disease.
The one-act play “Fortune Cookies, written by Bonnie Dudovitz, features a vibrant octogenarian who’s determined to be the first to know if her recall is slipping beyond what can be considered normal, age-related memory loss. An unexpected visit from her son reveals that she has cooked up a way to help herself and others be on the lookout for the early stages of dementia.
“Steering into the Skid” returns for encore virtual performance
The Jan. 19 event aims to engage family members, caregivers, local businesses and the broader community in a conversation about dementia and share resources and strategies to navigate memory loss.

An encore virtual performance and discussion of The Remember Project’s “Steering into the Skid,” a one-act play about memory loss, will occur from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Jan. 19.
