Paulding FFA celebrates State FFA Convention virtually Carter Manz, FFA Reporter Tuesday, May 11, 2021 4:27 PM On April 29 and 30, the Paulding FFA chapter attended the Ohio FFA convention virtually. Although the convention was not face to face this year, members were able to watch live videos of the convention from the FFA room and have snacks to celebrate the accomplishments of our chapter. Schedule for the 93rd Ohio FFA Convention

To schedule your campus visit go to: wilmington.edu The First Session of the 2021 Ohio FFA Convention starts Thursday, April 29 at 10 a.m. with Teacher/Administrator Recognition, National FFA Officer Remarks with Artha Jonassaint, Ohio FFA Talent, and Agriscience Fair recognition. The first session will also include the 2021-22 Ohio FFA Officer Ballot announcement.   The Second Session at 1 p.m. on Thursday will recognize the Honorary State FFA Degrees, Star State FFA Degrees, State FFA Degrees, and more Ohio FFA talent. Other highlights on Thursday include the Golden Owl Award, Ohio Ag Educator of the Year recognition, gold-rated officer book recognition, and American Star Award Candidate recognition.

FFA Week Looking Different This Year

This week is a time for FFA chapters across the country to celebrate the achievements of the organization and spread the word about what they stand for. The majority of chapters usually have different activities they do throughout the week. For example, some chapters will do Ag Olympics, pancake breakfasts, or scavenger hunts, but this year looks a little different. “I think a lot of it depends on what your community can do right now depending on the restrictions that they have,” FFA Central Region Vice President Paxton Dahmer said. “One of the things (FFA members) can do is engage virtually. That’s been something that’s really come to light this past year, and I think it’s a beneficial way to hold an event during FFA week. You can have a virtual Zoom hour over lunch and invite people across the community to listen in and talk about you
