The city of Menahga does not have a city administrator. In the absence of proposals from potential city auditors, the city council resolved on Monday, Jan. 31 to enlist the Office of the State Auditor. Investments have not been transferred to a council-approved firm, nor has a debt study been found.
Proposed improvements on First Street SW from Cottonwood Avenue to Second Street SW and on Balsam Avenue from Main Street to First Street SW include replacing sewer and watermain. Sewer and water replacement is also proposed on Second Street NW from Evergreen Avenue to Cottonwood and from U.S. Hwy. 71 to Cedar Avenue NE.
