Adam Gunderson resigned as Menahga Police Chief on Dec. 2. The Menahga City Council also approved the final property tax levy, payable in 2023. It’s a 9% increase, or $47,026, over last year’s levy.
The Menahga City Council discussed its options – besides extending the deadline, again, for the administrator/clerk/treasurer position – at their Monday, Nov. 28 meeting.
Incumbent Erika Randall lost her bid for re-election in a close, three-way race for two seats on the Park Rapids City Council. In Nevis, recently appointed council member Ryan Mathisrud lost to Blair Reuther and John Carrier. Menahga voters elected two new candidates for two open seats.
