The Arole Oduduwa and Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II has described late Chief Yinka Odumakin, who until his death was the spokesman of the Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, as an unforgettable patriotic descendant of Oduduwa and a positive factor in Nigeria’s democracy.
In a condolence piece by his Director of Media and Public Affairs, Moses Olafare, on Saturday, Ooni Ogunwusi described Odumakin’s death as a rude shock, lamenting that Chief Odumakin died when the Yoruba nation in particular and Nigeria at large needed him the most.

The Arole Oduduwa & Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja II, on Thursday congratulated the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi on his 50th coronation anniversary.
In a statement by the Director of Media & Public Affairs at the Ooni’s Palace, Comrade Moses Olafare, Ooni Ogunwusi described the Alaafin as a unique descendant of Oduduwa and great Nigerian who lives a life of service to humanity.
Ooni Ogunwusi who described Oba Adeyemi as a revered Nigerian monarch who has always dignified the cultural values of the Yoruba people with great passion, thanking God for blessing him with the gift of long reign on the throne of his forefathers, adding that the monarch has seen it all for the country.

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi has charged the Federal Government to quickly draw an economic recovery plan and policies that could alleviate suffering among Nigerians.
He also stressed the need to aggressively pursue emancipation programme for youths to address insecurity in the country.
This is contained in a Christmas/New Year message issued by his spokesperson, Moses Olafare to rejoice Christian families globally on the 2020 Christmas celebration, saying the history of Jesus Christ is full of testimonies inspiring enough to find him worthy of emulation.
Ooni Ogunwusi Enitan Adeyeye of IfeIle-ife, the famed cradle of human civilisation and the ancient city of 401 deities of the universal Yoruba nation was recently agog with festivity, as the 51st Ooni, His Imperial Majesty, Ooni Enitan Adeyeye Babatunde Akande Ogunwusi (Ojaja II), celebrated his fifth year on the throne. He ascended the throne of his forbears on December 7, 2015.
