Two campus members were recognized for their exceptional service to the community with a pair of awards this April from the Student Affairs Division, one student and one staff member.
The Student Affairs Division recognizes one student each semester for their important contributions to the College’s culture. The award is given to students nominated by staff and faculty as someone who best embodies the values of the College community. Those values include community, integrity, leadership, and service.
This month, the Idaho Commission on Hispanic Affairs wrapped up its youth leadership summits. It's a chance for hundreds of students to build skills and learn more about colleges and scholarship opportunities.
Many of the students that he meets are first-generation students so they’re just learning how the process works. The scholarship pledges, along with the opportunity to meet Hernandez, help show the students that they will have support and can succeed at the College.
