NEW DELHI: In a strong message directed at China, defence minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday said India does not want war but warned that if any superpower wants to hurt its self-esteem, our soldiers are capable of giving a befitting reply. We don t want war and we are in favour of protecting everyone s security but I want to say this in clear terms that if any superpower wants to hurt our pride then our soldiers are capable of giving them a befitting reply, Singh said in Bengaluru on Armed Forces Veterans Day.
The defence minister said that India wants peaceful and friendly ties with other nations since it is in our blood and culture.

Bengaluru: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday laid a wreath at the Headquarters Training Command of the Indian Air Force in Bengaluru, Karnataka on the occasion of the fifth Armed Forces Veterans Day.
