Philly topped 51 Miles Per Hour, so really was a major storm. Now, it is still out there. But yesterday, we were 20, 30mile per hour sustained winds all day. Now scaling back more like 15. So getting better. But i cant promise you the worse of the winds will die down, until later on tonight. C
Mind high tide up and down the delaware bay which is also included in this happens a little bit later. So, more flooding this morning and after that the wind should die down and we should be a little bit better. We still have that Winter Weather advisory up in the pocono counties and it has been extended until 6 oclock. Had a feeling it was going to. It was originally going to stop this morning but theres just enough off and on spotty precipitation up there of the frozen variety a little sleet, a little freezing rain, a little slow to warrant that up until 6 oclock. There are some breaks in the clouds down to the south of us and its not out of the question that we actually do see some sun. At the same time that area of low pressure that gave us all the rain and wind yesterday is still more or less in the vicinity and we still could have some wraparound precipitation from that as we go through the day. Our 5 oclock numbers showing we dipped to the 30s once again this morning in some of the suburbs like quakertown and pottstown 39 degrees. 40 in martins creek, 41 fleetwood, 40 degrees in coatesville, 39 in oxford, 40 kennett square, 45 in chester, 50 in center city so a cool start to the day maybe not quite as cool as yesterday morning. 44 in browns mills, 45 in cinnaminson, 47 this morning in dover, delaware. We have more clouds today than we did yesterday. Satellite6 and action radar showing a batch of clouds have moved out. We can see a few more clouds coming from the east and west as well. In smyrna delaware an accident happened just before 4 oclock this morning involving two tractortrailers, one of which was carrying chickens. That truck flipped over. The chickens went flying out.
