Durban â Durban High Court Judge Jacqueline Henriques is on Wednesday expected to hand down her sentence to the man convicted of killing Miguel Louw.
Mohammed Vahed Ebrahim, 46, has been found guilty of the premeditated murder of Miguel.
In July 2018, Miguel was reported missing. He was last seen at an eatery near his Sydenham home with Ebrahim.
Three months later, his decomposed body was found in vacant land near Ebrahimâs home in Phoenix.
In December Ebrahim was convicted of murder, kidnapping and theft.
During the trial, it emerged that Ebrahim had worked with Miguelâs mother Raylene at a butchery. He sometimes stayed at her home and performed odd jobs in their home in Sydenham.

Mohamed Vahed Ebrahim was sentenced to 25 years for the kidnapping and premeditated murder of nine-year-old Miguel Louw, whose decomposed body was discovered in bushes in Phoenix in September 2018, about two months after he went missing.
Louw, who was a grade 4 pupil in Sydenham, was last seen in the company of Ebrahim, who was a friend of his mother and used to do odd jobs for the family.

Mohamed Vahed, 43, who was found guilty of the kidnapping and murder of Miguel Louw was sentenced in the Durban High Court on Wednesday.
Phoenix man, Mohamed Ebrahim Vahed, 43, was sentenced to 34 years and six months imprisonment in the Durban High Court on Wednesday.
This is after he was convicted for the murder and kidnapping of nine-year-old, Miguel Louw, in July 2018.
National Prosecuting Authority spokeswoman, Natasha Kara, said Vahed had also been found guilty of theft and was sentenced to 25 years, eight years and 18 months for the three offences.
Vahed had occasionally stayed with Miguel and his family in Sydenham because he sometimes did odd jobs for them. Sometime prior to the boy’s disappearance, Vahed had told Miguel’s mother, Raylene that he was attracted to her. She turned down his advances, and he became angry and warned that he would “show her”.
