The Arkansas Arts Center held a reception for its members to get a first look at the exhibit, "The Crossroads of Memory: Carroll Cloar and the American South." The event featured hors d oeuvres and libations, as well as a lecture given by Dr. Stanton Thomas, organizing curator and catalogue author.

EL DORADO, February 13, 2024 The El Dorado Film Festival (EDFF) returned from a three-year hiatus to much fanfare at the South Arkansas Arts Center (SAAC). Running Feb. 8-11th, the event showcased local and national features and short films alongside workshops and parties. Filmmakers drove from around Arkansas and Louisiana while some flew in from the East and West Coasts.
The South Arkansas Arts Center’s 2024 photography competition and exhibit “The Viewfinder” is open for viewing in the Merkle and Price Galleries in El Dorado through March 3.
The world is often fortunate enough to produce those great spirits who see beauty all around them and want to share it with the world.
