Kerala governor Arif Mohammad Khan openly challenged CM Pinarayi Vijayan to show one example of his political interference. The governor added that he would resign if the CM could put forward one example.
Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan offered to resign if even one example of his interference in appointment to the varsity VCs could be shown. He accused the CM office of being involved in patronising smuggling activities in the state.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan slammed the governor for ordering the Vice Chancellors of nine universities to resign and said it was "undemocratic".
