The No. 17 Florida Gators (14-6, 8-4 SEC) finished their final match of the regular season and defeated the No. 15 Auburn Tigers (18-6, 8-4 SEC) 5-2 Sunday afternoon at Yarbrough Tennis Center. The Gators trounced the Tigers in doubles play and solidified their lead with an all-around impressive performance in singles play.
After a perfect 4-0 weekend in league play, Arkansas’ freshman Carolina Gomez Alonso earns her second SEC honor of the spring, announced by the league office on Wednesday. The Razorbacks improve to 11-10 overall and 5-7 in conference play.
The Arkansas women’s tennis team took the doubles point and three straight doubles wins to clinch the upset over No. 12 Auburn under the lights at Billingsley Tennis Center on Friday. The Razorbacks move to 10-10 overall and 4-7 in conference play.

Tallahassee, FL – Florida State sent four student-athletes to the NCAA Individual Championships, the most in program history, and also set the program record for the number of All-America honors secured with three. Giulia Pairone was seeded in the NCAA Tournament Singes Championship and joined in singles competition by Emmanuelle Salas. Nandini Das and Andrea Garcia competed in the NCAA Doubles Championships.
Garcia and Das advanced to the quarterfinals as one of eight doubles pairs remaining in title contention equaling the furthest any FSU doubles team has advanced in the NCAA Tournament in program history. The only other pair of Seminoles to advance to the NCAA Quarterfinals previously were Audra Brannon and Laura Randmaa in 1993.
