We are in a good position to start cutting down emissions hard and fast. I think that paris will help. We know that the trajectory we are on at the moment with the Greenhouse Gas emissions will land about four degrees warming by the end of the century. We will alter the trajectory so we will be aiming more likely that about 2. 7 degrees. Its not enough but its good, but good start. We know we want to stay down below two degrees. How are we going to do that . I started thinking about the drawdown from the atmosphere and i met Richard Branson in 2007. He invited me to his home in the British Virgin islands and he had his we start but the problem. Richard expressed skepticism that humans could act fast enough to reduce emissions. He just thought it was a good happen. He thought what he could do was offer a prize to help Foster Technology and would have the potential to draw at least one part of carving out a deficit every year. We start this thing called the virgin challenge. I sit on the

Our program tonight will allow us to talk in greater detail about the intersections between temperance and suffrage. They are a little bit hazy in history. What we have found as we have been preparing for this is that there is not a whole lot of recent scholarship on this. The track we decided to take was to look at the women themselves. It was the women whose thoughts and origins and what they were fighting for, for their families and animation, went into the organizations they were able to move forward and that became the movement themselves. We will talk a little bit about the way the women galvanized for social, economic and political change. The family of a black medical worker shot dead by police in her home in the us state of kentucky have expressed their anger that no one is to be charged with her killing. Instead, one louisville officer is to be prosecuted for a lesser offence because some of his bullets went into a neighbours property. The death in march of breonna taylor, who was 26, fuelled anti racism protests. The state attorney general said two officers werent charged because they were returning fire after Breonna Taylors boyfriend shot at them. Our washington correspondent, aleem maqbool, reports they are already starting to express their outrage at the news that police wont be charged with the manslaughter of breonna taylor. Her boyfriend, kenneth walker, a licensed gun owner, says he thought they were intruders and fired his weapon. They fired back at least 20 times, killing breonna. No

We want to put plymouth on the map. We have some fantastic collections, we have an amazing history, weve got some Amazing Stories to tell. We often hide these stories under a bushel we want to reveal that. There are themed state of the Art Galleries including a permanent natural exhibit featuring a large woolly mammoth, not excavated locally but fabricated in hollywood. And a Space Dedicated to the citys seafaring heritage, including a display acknowledging the part plymouth played in the slave trade, and one on the exploits of sir francis drake. And then theres the 400th anniversary of the mayflower. This is a scaled replica of the famous ship the mayflower, which set sail from plymouth to the east coast of america 400 years ago.
