(Wyoming News Now) - Cheyenne locals gathered at Archer Parkway to witness the groundbreaking of Laramie County Fire District One’s new fire station. Cheyenne’s Chamber of Commerce personnel were present as well as fire personnel from the department. The project was approved by taxpayers in 2017 as part of a sixth penny ballot vote. The fire station at Archer will provide much needed fire and medical services and protection to the eastern areas of Laramie County. The $2.1 million project is projected to be functional in September of 2021.
