The SAD 75 board has been navigating parents' concerns since early September, when they first proposed a policy aimed at protecting the privacy of transgender students who were out at school but not at home.
Minors tend to leave home because of adverse situations, such as drug use, conflict within the home and parents who are not accepting of the child’s gender or sexuality.
