The glass vessels were shattered after 2,750 tonnes of ammonium nitrate stored in Beirut s port caused a blast that devastated the city on August 4, 2020. Workers will piece together hundreds of glass fragments at the British Museum s conservation laboratories in London with funding from The European Fine Art Foundation (TEFAF). The Museo Nacional del Prado adds to its exhibits a Picasso from the Aramont Art Collection Pablo Picasso, Buste de femme 43, 1943 Donated from the Aramont Art Collection by the Arango Montull family to American Friends of the Prado Museum. MADRID .- The Royal Board of Trustees of the Prado Museum in its annual meeting approved the deposit and exhibition of Buste de Femme 43, by Pablo Picasso from 1943. The painting is a donation to American Friends of the Prado Museum from the Aramont Art Collection of the Arango Montull family. The Royal Board of Trustees of the Prado Museum also accepted the generous donation of the Portrait of Philip III by Velázquez by American Friends of the Prado Museum which had been deposited at the Prado since 2016.

Picasso se codea con el Greco en el Prado El museo exhibirá en su colección Busto de mujer , un retrato pintado por el genio malagueño en 1943 donado por la Aramont Art Collection de la familia Arango Lunes, 28 junio 2021, 18:11 Pablo Ruiz Picasso fue nombrado director del Museo del Prado el 26 de septiembre 1936. Un nombramiento simbólico, porque el genial artista malagueño jamás tomó posesión de su cargo, al que se le asignó un sueldo de 15.000 pesetas anuales. Su sueño era que su obra se exhibiera en el museo público, algo que solo ocurrió excepcionalmente -el Guernica estuvo en el Casón del Buen Retiro desde su llegada a España en 1981 hasta su viaje al Reina Sofía en 1992- y que ahora es posible gracias a la cesión de Busto de mujer 43 , un retrato femenino que se expondrá en el edificio Villanueva, junto a otro grandes maestros.
