SUNBURY – Homicide and related charges against the Northumberland County man accused in the beating death of his ex-girlfriend’s 3-year-old daughter have been sustained.
County Judge Charles H. Saylor Tuesday rejected a defense argument that testimony at Jahrid Josef Burgess’ preliminary hearing was insufficient to support homicide and related charges.
Burgess, 20, is charged in the 2019 death of Arabella Parker as is her mother, Samantha Jo Delcamp, 25. Each is jailed without bail.
Delcamp on Tuesday gave incriminating testimony against her former boyfriend that was similar to what she said in a recorded police interview played at Burgess’ preliminary hearing.
