A dangerous intersection and tonight police are investigating a deadly accident. A driver hit and killed a pedestrian and that driver has been arrested. Good evening and thanks for joining us. Reporter right about here is where police say that elderly woman was crossing the street when a yellow suv was coming from sacramento street and made a left turn on to stockton. Hit her somewhere here in the crosswalk right over here earlier in the evening is where people who knew the woman lit candles in her memory. This is a yellow toyota suv that hit the pedestrian. The driver was arrested for suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and failing to yield to a pedestrian. The victim, an elderly woman, died at the scene. She is an asian female and she is from the neighborhood and we are trying to figure out the family and that sort of thing. One resident said she lived in the building feet from where she was hit.
