Aprilia has launched the bookings for its newly launched scooter SXR 125 in India. The Italian two-wheeler maker is retailing the scooter at Rs 1.15 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Prices of the scooter may differ in different cities.
Less than a week ago,
Aprilia revealed prices for the SXR 125 on its website. The 125cc SXR was expected to go on sale by now, but due to the current scenario, the official launch has been postponed. Aprilia has the specifications for the SXR 125 listed on its website, which is why we’ve decided to compare them to those of its only direct rival in India, the Suzuki Burgman Street.

Like the
SXR 160, the SXR 125 shares its engine with its sportier sibling. While it makes 9.9hp and 9.7Nm on the SR 125, it puts out 9.5hp and 9.2Nm on the SXR 125. The max power figures and torque figure on the SXR are made at 7,600rpm and 6,250rpm, respectively, while the SR’s numbers are made at 7,700rpm and 6,000rpm.

Just a glance and you know these pocket rockets take design inspiration from their elder siblings. The headlight, however, has a striking resemblance to the ones on the Aprilia SXR 160 and the SXR 125. In fact, even the LCD instrument console looks straight off the Italian maxi-scooter.
