Kingston Arts Council announces first Resiliency Grant recipients
The Kingston Arts Council (KAC) is pleased to announce that $80,000 will be awarded to 80 local, professional artists through the first intake period of the City of Kingston Arts Fund’s Resiliency Grant stream. Total funding for the Resiliency Grant is $100,000 and the remaining $20,000 will be administered through a second intake period launching June 1, 2021. This special funding opportunity has been made possible by Kingston City Council who approved an additional $200,000 to be distributed through the City of Kingston Arts Fund in 2021 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Resiliency Grant marks the first-time the City of Kingston Arts Fund has provided funding directly to artists. USDA s 97th annual Agricultural Outlook Forum will be held virtually this year. The theme, “Building on Innovation: A Pathway to Resilience,” will focus on the role science and innovation have played in helping the ag sector overcome challenges during COVID-19.
