editorial like that. it has become mainstream. i hope this isn t the case but it does not stretch the imagination too much diverse forward to the first couple of quarters of 2023 when the republican presidential candidates are debating. some of them will probably choose to embrace white replacement theory as a way to get applause lines in the audiences. i m not saying that s where our primary voters are, but a lot of them are because they re hearing it every day. that s what is so scary about this. chuck schumer mentioned that in his letter. it is gone from the fringes to the mainstream and i think that s why mcconnell who i don t see embracing it but he realizes that if he were to criticize it, and he s already in deep water with republicans on other issues, by saying the election was legitimate. he doesn t have any room to his right. he probably feels like he s gonna have a real battle. i hope it doesn t come to this but if they somehow can win back the senate to be the majority lead
into the schools. we got a look into what their children were learning and in some cases saw that some of this stuff was coming in. now the alert is out now and parents are communicating in ways they haven t before and saying we won t stand for this stuff. school board elections now matter in ways they didn t before. that s a very good thing. but again, unfortunately for public schools and, you know, one hopes for improvement in public schools, this means an exodus from a lot of those schools into charters, which are other forms of public, into private and religious schools. dana: one of the other things about glenn youngkin when he ran for governor in virginia one of his applause lines at the events he promised to make sure there was advanced education for math, science and english in all the high skoo.s he got applause for that. mayor eric adams said he will reverse the deblasio idea to remove gifted and talented
support there for the oath keepers and proud boys, never condemning them. put on a play for them, condemn these hate groups and he won t do it. certainly between the calls for pardons for january 6th participants and suggesting another march and rallies to intimidate prosecutors, we re in a new place right here. tyler, i know you were at the rally in texas. give us a sense as to how his comments were received there, you know, and were those in attendance fully supportive of this president s interpretation of what happened on january 6th and how ominous that is for our country? yes, absolutely. i was down there in conroe and supporters were eager and excited to hear from the former president. all of those lines, particularly about the january 6th insurrection and potentially pardoning those who have been arrested and charged with crimes in connection with that were big applause lines. as you know, you have been to many of these trump rallies around the country, the base is
enthusiasm for the ukraine portion of the remarks than for the domestic policy portion. but this is the white house s task. they have to take what president biden said last night and bring it to the road. first stop, wisconsin. so, sam, give us a few of your other takeaways from last night. you nicely bifurcated the foreign policy versus a domestic agenda here. the worlds build back better were never mentioned last night. right. as well as january 6th, trump. the president didn t mention those, as well. where did you see space where he potentially could get pieces of the agenda, even if it s not called build back better anymore, passed through congress? few things on the speech first. you know, you know this, too. this is one of the first times in years that president biden has spoken to a real live audience with applause lines and boo lines, in fact. for someone who has been in politics for decades, that s kind of the bloodstream for him, is getting that audience reaction. i
