firefighters to go on strike. as i say, at the end of the month our members have bills to pay and they have been treated appallingly over the last 12 years by their employers and the government. they are saying their goodwill cannot be relied upon endlessly because they are being forced to go to food banks because they cannot survive. that is unacceptable in this day and age and they do not accept it. i understand they do not accept it. i understand the concerns of the public which is why they have not immediately gone on strike. there is this ten day window in order to allow the employers and the government to provide the funding and the offer to resolve this dispute. that is entirely possible and we are in discussions with employers across the country and i hope there will be wake up and realise a scale of what they are dealing with and it is possible to avoid this dispute altogether. possible to avoid this dispute altogether- possible to avoid this dispute altoaether. ., ,, , ., ,
