The bus that crashed A newly married man was among the five people that perished when a bus plunged into a river in Aponmu village, Akure South council area of Ondo State along Akure /Ondo highway, on Sunday. The 18-seater bus marked Lagos AAA 859 XC in which they were travelling in from Lagos plunged into the Owena river, killing them instantly, while six others, including the bride were reportedly pulled out alive. The crash which happened about 10kilometers to Akure, the state capital attracted a lot of sympathisers, who bewailed the sad development, while intense rescue operation was going on.
