A LOCAL firm which won a prestigious design award for its work on an exclusive health spa has shard an inside look at its incredible work. APM Design was voted winners in the +£500,000 category of the 2020 Northern Design Awards Project of the Year awards after completing work on the Athelis health spa, one of the most prestigious venues of its kind in the region.
Athelis health spa The family-run Darwen company are the first design firm to be partnered with the Northern Powerhouse scheme and says that this award is a fitting way for its long-term stability and open business practices to be recognised, along with the way it has been on hand to meet clients’ needs despite the pandemic.
It was a tumultuous year for the Chinese technology sector amid rising tensions with the US and as Beijing doubled down on its goal of achieving self-reliance in strategic areas such as semiconductor development.
