Greece: 17 Migrants Dead, More Than 100 Rescued after Vessel Capsizes

A fishing boat carrying dozens of migrants capsized and sank off the southern coast of Greece early Wednesday, killing at least 17 people. A large search and rescue operation was launched in the area. Authorities said 104 people have been rescued so far following the nighttime incident some 75 kilometers southwest of Greece’s southern Peloponnese region, The Associated Press reported.
