KUALA LUMPUR: The shooting incident at a restaurant in Taman Tun Dr Ismail here on Sunday (Jan 31) may have been caused by someone who was cleaning his weapon.

We are still investigating the incident. Initial investigations showed the victim had no enemies, nor did he owe any debts. So we are not ruling out that the shot might have come from more than 500m away from the restaurant when the weapon was being cleaned, he said when met at the site in Jalan Aminuddin Baki on Tuesday (Feb 2).

An elderly man at a restaurant in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail (TTDI), Kuala Lumpur sustained minor injuries after being hit by a bullet on Sunday (31 Jan).
According to a statement by Brickfields District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Anuar Omar, while cleaning the restaurant kitchen located at Jalan Aminuddin Baki, TTDI, the elderly man felt sudden pain around his armpit area and noticed he was injured there.

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 1 An elderly man sustained injuries after being shot at a restaurant in Jalan Aminuddin Baki, Taman Tun Dr Ismail yesterday.
Brickfields district police chief ACP Anuar Omar said the police received a report from the victim about the incident at around noon today.
“During the incident yesterday, the victim was cleaning the restaurant kitchen at around 12.30pm when he felt a sharp pain at his armpit and found a wound at the area.
