she gave the crooks her money but they killed her anyway. tonight, even veteran detectives are calling this a disturbing crime. good sunday. i m craig melvin. the store owner was shot and killed on georgia avenue northwest last night, now the search is on for her killers. michael flynn has our report. reporter: this small liquor store on georgia avenue in northwest was the scene of saturday s deadly holdup t. victim the store owner, 51-year-old who police say cooperated with the robbers but was still shot in the neck. she died a short time later at a local hospital. i m heart broken. that doesn t make any sense. reporter: franklin kelly owns a barber shop. she says hernandez was a friendly and well respected business woman. sometimes her adult children would help. they are good people. i don t see why anybody would do something like that. there s no reason for that. reporter: police say two men walked into the liquor store one armed with handgun. hernandez handed ov
