We have about 124 objects, 63 portraits. I was hoping to commemorate the 19th amendment and tell the history of the 19th amendment and how women lobbied to get this amendment passed and ratified. But also ask questions about it. Ask what does it do and what does it not to. And why 1965, the Voting Rights act, was considered a part two of the voting amendment. Before we head into the gallery i want to talk about this lenticular out in the lobby in front fo the entrance. It has a photograph of the 1913 womens suffrage march, looking up pennsylvania avenue toward the United States capitol. And it is overlaid with a photograph from the 2017 womens march from pennsylvania avenue as well. And it is in a lenticular, which has a special effect, so that as you walk by the image changes between the two. We wanted to have it in the exhibit to help grab the publics attention, and also to signal that this is a historic exhibit, but one that continues to have contemporary relevance today.
