The case of a man charged in the pedestrian death of a Shelby Township teen in 2019 remains on hold not only due to COVID-19 but the transitional period for the new Macomb County prosecutor to take office.
Albert Donadio and his attorney, Stephen Rabaut, appeared via Zoom on Monday at a pretrial hearing in Macomb Circuit Court for the case against Donadio for the June 2019 death of Anthony Jugo, 15, who was struck by Donadioâs car on 25 Mile Road west of Hayes Road.

Donadio, 35, of Shelby Township, is charged with operating while under the influence of drugs causing death and reckless driving causing death, both punishable by up to 15 years behind bars, and a lesser charge, moving violation causing death, a misdemeanor.
