The Beth-El Center is a homeless shelter and soup kitchen that provides comfort to the Milford community through food programs, shelter, and support services. More than ever, families are facing hardships and challenging times in local communities. It is so wonderful to have community support in our efforts to alleviate hunger and homelessness, mentioned Jennifer Paradis, Executive Director of the Beth-El Center.
The family-friendly 5k takes place each year with the goal to raise money and awareness of hunger and homelessness in Connecticut. Although the race was held virtually this year, it was still a huge success with over $37,000 raised. All proceeds went directly to the Beth-El Center.
