kirsten vogle. i was still awake when it started rumbling and i thought what is that. at first i thought it was the tv flashing, but it s mother nature. let s check in with tony perkins. good morning to both of you and good morning to everybody. this morning we are left with cloud cover and will see our temperatures increase dramatically today. it s going to be a warm day. maybe some rain late tonight but today will be fine. current temperatures in the area, 51 degrees in washington. dulles airport is at 49 degrees. baltimore is at 44. patuxent naval air station is 54 as is ocean city and in virginia it s 47 degrees. there are the clouds across the sky this morning. and so mostly cloudy skies during the early morning hours. that will gave way to sunshine later on today. out to the west, that s where you see more precipitations that quite a ways away. eventually it will makes it way in here tonight and maybe more showers overnight and into tomorrow. and for today, quit

open in the cabin in mid- flight. sarah simmons is live at ntsb head quarters with more on this problem. reporter: good morning, tony and allison. the three planes they found cracks in are part of 79 planes that were grounded after friday s incident. they are still in the process of inspecting 60 planes to see if there are additional cracks or issues with those planes. because of this, southwest had to cancel 600 flights over the weekend, looking at north 100 flights canceled today. of course the story behind this all started on friday when a southwest airlines 737 300 flight left phoenix airport, 18 minutes into the flight the plane tore up, revealing a hole about 5 feet long and a foot wide. the oxygen masks dropped down, a night attendant passed out. after all of this, no injuries were reported but they landed safely in yuma, arizona. the ntsb now investigating. but the chairman of the house transportation committee is also calling for an investigation of not only the
