FeedMore WNY has reached nearly two-thirds of its fundraising goal to establish a permanent home for the organization and build brighter futures for Western New Yorkers of all ages experiencing food insecurity and joblessness. With this milestone reached, FeedMore WNY is kicking off the public phase of its campaign and inviting the community to participate in this critical project.
Thanks to state, federal, corporate and foundation donors, FeedMore’s capital campaign has raised $63.3 million, two-thirds of the cost to construct a 198,000-square-foot facility that will solve a serious space crunch with room to grow on a 74-acre campus, organizers announced Wednesday.
Now FeedMore is asking the public to help raise the remaining $33.7 million needed to break ground on the project next spring.
Buffalo City Mission, FeedMore WNY, and Friends of Night People will benefit from an endowment named the Anne Alford and Manson Fiske Surdam Charitable Foundation.
