DMK minister Palanivel Thiaga Rajan released a video statement saying that the audio clips released by Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai are “fabricated”.
Annamalai, in a statement through his counsel, said the legal notice by the DMK over his graft allegations was an attempt to muzzle his voice and refused to apologise for statements against DMK leaders.
Annamalai released ‘DMK files’ on April 14, making graft allegations against the ruling DMK leaders, including Chief Minister MK Stalin and their family members. DMK organising secretary RS Bharathi had already sent Annamalai a notice seeking Rs 500 crore for his allegations against the chief minister.
From details of the DMK’s properties to alleged kickbacks, the BJP leader has levelled serious accusations against the party and Tamil Nadu CM. But, the DMK has dismissed these as “defamatory, scandalous and motivated statements”.
