we have shower and storms and locally heavy rains. right now severe weather is to the south of us, southern virginia through the carolinas is where the tornado watch is. here s the day planner. looking at it for this wednesday and we are expecting some breaks from time to time. and other times, heavy rain going on. temperatures won t be moving much. low to mid-70s for highs. but it will be a day you need to add extra time to the commute and take the rain gear with you. look at what is happening this morning. we have been seeing showers from the southwest to the northeast. some locally heavy, especially west of 95 right now. another batch to the south. we will see this coming in. switch over to live doppler 9000 hd if we can to give you an idea what is happening right at this hour. heaviest stuff is west of baltimore through howard county, montgomery county, fairfax. west of fredericksburg, south of culpeper. that will move in to faulkier and prince william and it will bring m

the heavy rains overnight may be the beginning of more storms. our meteorologist devon lucie is here with the forecast. we are tracking at wave of rain heading to the western part of the metro. put doppler in notice and you will see prince william county getting heavy rain. a thunderstorm is coming in over manassas. i put on the temperatures, too. i want to show you for this time of the year, anything over the 70-degree range when it is really humid outside that means there is possibly big big head you are our way. one lightning stroke in prince william county showing it is a significant thunderstorm. i don t think it will get much worse than that. go to the computer. we look back farther southwest. cloud cover and more rain and once we get through this wave we could see a third wave this afternoon in to in the afternoon and evening hours. i think that s the one. if we can get some breaks this the clouds that could create problems and severe weather. we will talk about this
