Night, workers at the Newton Correctional Release Center noticed two missing inmates. These two men are missing. One is serving a 10year sentence for drug charges. The other a 27 year sentence also for drugs. An investigation is underway. This isnt the first escape from the newton center. Just last month an inmate was missing during count. An investigation later found he escaped by walking out to the Recreation Area and down to the driveway. His girlfriend picked him up and drove away. He was later found.
