Most of the pedestrians used to walk past the corner on the footpath all these years without complaining to the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) authorities to keep the place clean. Now, the corner, which used to be an eyesore, has become a selfie point.
The project is a practical example of urban rejuvenation through transformational placemaking: a filthy, neglected public space under a flyover reclaimed to create a neat, safe, clean, and well-maintained free public space for all.
