According to Dr Pant, Aptech was facing 3 red cards viz: low margin international business, Enterprise business which was making losses for the past 2 years and the third being impact of Covid (which no one could have accounted for). They have done away with low-value addition international business which was just doing about 3-4% margins. Enterprise business which was the second red card faced losses in FY19/20 due to 3 bad deliveries that happened sometime in FY17 and now this business has seen break even in Q2 of this financial year.
Dr Pant believes that the enterprise business has massive potential going ahead. All the corrective action has taken place in the enterprise segment. He said, “With the existing fixed cost structure, this business has the potential to post 3x revenues of this year… enterprise biz can contribute to profits in a significant way in next 12-18 months.”
