ELEVEN men have been cleared of the rape and murder of an air stewardess discovered slumped in a bathtub.
Christine Angelica Dacera was found in a room at the City Garden Hotel on New Year s Day in Makati, the Philippines.

The 23-year-old was taken to hospital by paramedics but later declared dead by doctors, say cops in Manilla.
Following her death, police filed a provisional charge of rape with homicide against eleven men who were with her on the night she died.

Christine Angelica Dacera, a 23-year-old Filipino flight attendant who was named Miss Philippines, was found dead in an empty bathtub in a hotel room in Makati City, where she and her friends were having a New Year s party.
The death of Dacera has raised a lot of questions, as she was raped and murdered by a group during the party.
According to the first versions of the events, one of Dacera s friends invited other men to the party in one of the hotel rooms. She was the only woman.
Witnesses state that she was seen in the bathtub sleeping and was covered with a blanket. Hours later, however, they realised that her body was purple and unresponsive, so they tried to revive her without success.

The Makati city prosecutor office has ordered the release of three men who were suspected to be connected with Christine Angela Dacera’s death case and the alleged gangrape. The 23-year-old flight attendant was found unconscious in the bathtub of a posh hotel. She had checked in with her friends to celebrate New Year’s Eve. The case has been referred back to the police for further investigation.
On Wednesday, Benedicto Malcontento, Prosecutor General mentioned in his statement “After a thorough evaluation of the facts and evidence presented during inquest proceedings, the Office of the City Prosecutor, Makati City resolved to refer the case for further investigation and to release the arrested persons from detention.”
