First 2 wildfires of 2021 ignite in the Kamloops Fire Centre It appears that wildfire season could be starting sooner rather than later in 2021. According to the BC Wildfire Service, the first two wildfires of the year ignited in the Kamloops Fire Centre on Saturday. The first sprouted up on Shuswap Road in Kamloops while the other occurred near Farleigh Lake Road, just east of Penticton.
