Crews are racing to get the work done by monday morning. Right now, they are pouring concrete and paving the roadway. The concrete is a quick set variety and if all goes as planned it will be cured by tomorrow morning. Workers also need to install medians and striping along the new parkway before they can open it up to traffic. It will happen in different stages. But that will be sunday before we really see any striping. We may even wait until its already done. Work is still on schedule even after rain. A big crowd made it to the presidio for a special ceremony today despite the doyle drive closure. Mayor lee and other dignitaries broke ground on the new korean war memorial. It will be built at lincoln and sheridan. The project has been years in the making and the presidio has a strong connection to it. More
