Front pulling away from us will usher in some stronger wind gusts later in the day and at night. At some point during the afternoon and evening hours well probably see gusts up to 35 Miles Per Hour. That in turn ushers in the next big issue and that is the return of another shot of arctic air. Weve had app couple a couple of these so far this winter season. Theres another one coming and that could include snow showers on thursday night and friday morning. 49 degrees is todays high drizzle around now. Quickly transitioning to a rainy day today. Then partly sunny and blustery wednesday, 54 degrees the high. On thursday, colder air returns. Brisk and cold on thursday with a high of just 36. And thursday night into at least friday morning there is the chance of a few snow showers. They should be light but even a little coating on the roads could make things slippery so thats a time period well be watching. Fridays high is 34. And then comes a brisk and cold weekend. Saturday 33 degrees, and sunday we may not crack the freezing mark. Well go for a high of 31 in philadelphia and that would suggest most of the suburbs below freezing as well. Monday sunny, still cold, 33. Hoping to get back up to about 40 by tuesday afternoon. Me, too and tam as well. Thank you david. 6 41 and medical marvel. A man survives 18 years with a pair of scissors stuck in his stomach. Also highway hysteria. An out of control driver brings traffic to a stop. Karen. A new accident right on i95. This is northbound at girard. Its blocking a lane. Ill tell you how slow traffic is going in this area and check on that overturned tractortrailer when we come right back. 6 43. Lets turn to karen rogers. First time its been this busy in awhile. Everyone coming back to work. I just showed you an accident i95 northbound at girard a minute ago. Thats been pushed in the median. Now we have an i95 southbound accident at girard and this one blocking two lanes. Thats a mess. Any time you have an accident i95 southbound youre going to see that travel time jump pretty quickly. Its already a 29 minute jam from woodhaven to the vine. Now as you travel southbound on i95 at girard youve got the two right lanes blocked with a new accident and youre kind of slowing down. An accident on the other side of the highway as well. Weve got one northbound and southbound, accidents on i95 at girard. And of course the big one is this accident on the pennsylvania turnpike because they blocked the off ramp to valley forge. Its an accident with a tractortrailer kind of on its side. And its leaning up again the wall here so weve got a tow truck and police on the scene but they blocked this off ramp. You cant go from the pennsylvania turnpike westbound to valley forge. Youve got to take the norristown exit instead. Also here lincoln drive at gypsy lane weve got a multi vehicle accident. Were hearing there are injuries creating problems so a three vehicle accident on lincoln drive and you can see that slowing right here on the schuylkill as well. On the schuylkill westbound we had reports of an accident and thats coming in from the waze app. Schuylkill westbound just past city avenue so watch for that and here you see those slow speeds, an area that would be jammed anyway, that area of red meaning youre traveling between the Single Digits and the teens at best on the schuylkill westbound and also another problem looking at the big picture you can see the slow speeds on the areas like i95 now 7 miles an hour so problems on your majors. Lets just show you right now a lot of rain on the way. This is all happening before the rain. So, here we can see a little bit of drizzle starting to reach the area but this rain coming your way by late morning and look at the visibility reports. Down less than a mile because of fog in mount pocono, fog creating a problem in the Lehigh Valley, 2mile visibility. 4mile right now at Philadelphia International airport. Matt. Thanks karen. Traffic was brought to a halt in houston on sunday when a driver began doing doughnuts in the middle of the freeway. His vehicle was heavily damaged with four flat tires and a busted hood. Witnesses watched as he drove across all of the lanes and then tried to get out. I was hoping he didnt come our way and hit any of us. It was really dangerous. His leg must have been stuck onto the gas because when he got out his jeans were completely its not clear weather the driver was under the influence or why there was so much damage to the vehicle. He eventually got out of the car and was taken into custody when police arrived. A powerful storm system has slammed the south killing four people in alabama.
