I remember the day I first met Andrew Brandt. I was working at the Amarillo Sox Stadium running the ticket window and also behind the mic working on the field. We were having computer issues and in walked Andrew to fix the problem.

AMARILLO, Texas, Feb. 23, 2021 /PRNewswire/ Texas-based author Andrew J Brandt s bestselling novel
Palo Duro has been nominated for Young Adult Book of the Year from the Mountain & Plains Independent Booksellers Association s Reading the West Awards.
The novel, which debuted at #1 on Amazon s young adult charts in May 2020, is a fictionalized tale of mystery set in the eponymous canyon. Fit for all ages,
Palo Duro is a story that draws on the history – and the mysteries – of the Texas panhandle and the native tribes that once called the land home.
Back in 2018, Charles D’Amico chose to revisit some of the writing he completed after he graduated from college, consisting of two mystery novels centering around a character named Neil Baggio.
After some significant editing, and as a relatively new Amarillo resident operating multiple Jimmy John s locations in the region, D Amico started the process of finding a potential publishing home for these novels.
But as that search progressed, D Amico found some road blocks from publishers due to his stylistic approach: mainly using dialogue as well as characters breaking the fourth-wall to drive the story.
Because of this, D Amico made the choice to create his own publishing company where he lives - in the Texas Panhandle.
