the governors of each state say it s not about targeting unions. it s about austerity. i m megyn kelly. welcome to america live. right now, lawmakers are holding a hearing on what s called senate bill 5. if passed in the buckeye state, it would do this eliminate collective bargaining for state employees, including those that work at state institutions of higher education. no collective bargaining is what really set them off in wisconsin. it would require public employees to pay 20% of their health insurance premiums. it would implement merit-based pay, which may sound fair to you, but unions don t get merit-based pay. they just get increases based on seniority. the state s governor is looking to change that. john kasich, governor of ohio, is sticking to his guns, saying there will be no bargaining in an effort to close the budget gap. unions say it s an attack on their workers. sound familiar? doug, what s going on there? it looked sparse and then people started to conver
