Its in the same spot its been in for hours. Everywhere else its moving around. Heres delaware. This is the southern portion of New Castle County right near smyrna and just north of dover. You can see that is crossing delaware bay toward bridgeton. Now one shower moved through the philadelphia area then through evesham township and now is moving right over tabernacle. As you can see, a little bit of lightning with that over Medford Lakes right now. But the area thats been the most active right near Seaside Heights in ocean county. Look at all the lightning there, and we had a bit of a lull then the thing just exploded right over the same spot. So theyre probably getting some flooding in that area along with all that lightning. The rest of the area generally quieting down as we go through the next several hours. Drying out and the humidity dropping. But its going right back up along with the storm threat for part of the weekend. Ill get into that with the seven day in a few minutes. All
News. Sharniece really loved doing community stories. She loved talking to people. Reporter her family says she was returning from work on a story using Public Transportation as she typically did. She was shot as she transferred buses just minutes from home. Police believe the intended target of the gunshot that killed her may have pulled her into the line of fire, used her as a human shield. At 9 28 she texted me and said, im on my way home. So i was waiting for her to text exactly, let me know if she needed me to pick her up where she was. And we never got that text last night. Typically we think of losses of journalists as being out in the middle east or in africa or in dangerous places. But here you lost a very, very active and Important Community journalist in ward 7. Reporter now, as a freelancer here at the hill rag she didnt spend a lot of time at the offices. But in the limited time she was here she made a positive impression on just about everybody. She was always very nice.

The economy shrank in the first three months of the year. Patty what is to blame . The main culprit appears to be the strong u. S. Dollar. The economy shrank. 7 . Exports fell 7. 6 and you can credit that to a strong dollar making American Goods more expensive to buy abroad. U. S. Imports increase 5. 6 . Consumer spending rose 1. 8 , and that marked a sharp slowdown from the end of last year and that really matters because Consumer Spending is the primary engine of u. S. Economic growth. The big question is whether the economy has shaken off the winter blues, the data is still rolling in. Good Housing Starts though we have yet to see an increase in paychecks.
