Right now at 6, the former off duty bay area pilot accused of trying to cut off the engines of Alaska Airlines jet midflight between Washington State and francisco has pleaded not guilty to 83 counts of seconddegree attempted murder. Prosecutors say 44 yearold Alaska Airlines pilot Joseph Emerson was sitting in the jump seat behind the pilot in the cockpit when he began pulling at the handles of the planes, Fire Suppression system, which if he had been successful, would have cut off the fuel to the planes engines. One would think that their property, their private information would remain so, particularly when theyre in the custody of a peace officer. Yet, i guess nothing is safe, right . Madsen says the 23yearold woman was pulled over and arrested during the dui stop on highway 680 back in august. But while in custody, he says officer Shawn Harrington accessed the womans private photos from her cell phone, then transmitted them to his own cell. Showers moving in to the coastline, up towards eureka, where theyve seen steady rain for the past hour or so. All of that activity is going to continue to progress this way as we head into the overnight hours. This starts it off right associate monday at 6 00.
