Santiago de Chile, May 14 (Prensa Latina) Brazil made official its participation in the Humboldt project, a submarine fiber optic cable that will link Chile and South America with Asia and Oceania through the South Pacific. Brazil s Minister of Foreign Affairs Carlos Alberto Franco announced so in a videoconference with his Chilean counterpart, Andres Allamand, and the Chile s Minister of Transport and Telecommunications Gloria Hutt.
