Free music on the bayou in Thibodaux every Saturday

The Courier and Daily Comet Area residents are invited to enjoy free live music every Saturday at the Jean Lafitte Wetlands Acadian Cultural Center in Thibodaux. Bands perform from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the center, 314 St. Mary St., as part of the Music on the Bayou program. The park encourages attendees to bring their lawn chairs and immerse themselves in a variety of Louisiana music, including blues, jazz and Cajun. This month s performers will be Benjamin Bruce (July 17), Corey Ledet (July 25) and Andrea Rhodes (July 31).  Call 448-1375 for information.
