Radio 100 Helen FM: 25 Years of Sterling Service to Our Communities

ON 11th March, 1996, Radio 100 Helen FM began operations in St. Lucia. And the radio station will soon be celebrating 25 years of service to our communities, local, regional and international. Indeed, a silver jubilee celebration!
From its early beginnings to the present, there has been a constant flow of information, education and entertainment to its varying publics. And, as I write, the station is at its best.

As an ardent listener to the station going back to 1996, I can attest to the fact that the station is making a sterling contribution to our world. Ministry of Health personnel in St. Lucia and the Chief Medical Officer in particular, have been relentless in their call to inform and encourage persons to follow the protocols which are in place for their safety and that of others, against the COVID-19 virus. And the vital protocols are: The wearing of masks, washing of hands and keeping a distance of at least six feet away from another person.
On Saturday, 13th February, 2021 at 9:30a.m. I set out to conduct some brief research on the wearing of masks. The object of the investigation was to determine whether persons were adhering to the protocol of the proper wearing of a mask.
